​Agricultural Parts Person

Location of the Job: South West of England: Dorset, Somerset, Devon, Wiltshire and Hampshire.

The Company: Is a leading machinery business that supply equipment to customers within the Agricultural, Construction and Garden industries.

The Industry: Agricultural Machinery, Farm Machinery, Garden Machinery, Groundcare Machinery, Construction Machinery, Plant Machinery.

The Job Role Details:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced person to join the Parts Team at this leading Agricultural Machinery business in the South West.

You will understand the importance of being a trusted advisor to the customers and always provide the highest level of parts support with a sales minded approach by upselling services and products while maintaining existing customer relations.

You will supply parts from all the dealers' main brands, supporting the agricultural and construction customers, alongside supporting the horticultural brands and proactively seek new aftersales business to deliver increased parts coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Parts Manager and based within the parts department, working alongside a team of 3 other Parts staff, this role includes the following key priorities:

  • Serving parts to customers over the counter.

  • Providing parts assistance to the service department.

  • Dealing with incoming telephone enquiries to the parts department.

  • Using online parts catalogues to look up and identify parts for customer enquiries.

  • Raising invoices and booking in stock.

  • Advising customers when their stock has been received and is ready for collection.

  • Picking and packing stock and dealing with receipts of items for customers and for stock.

  • Delivering high levels of customer service.

  • General assistance to the Parts Manager as and when required.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be:

  • Highly motivated with team spirit qualities and target driven.

  • Key skills in; prioritising, time management, planning and organisational.

  • Good communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills.

  • Competent PC or IT literacy skills and administrative ability.

  • 1 or 2 years of experience working within a parts / warehouse role.

Applicants who grew up on farm with warehouse / parts / admin / IT experience will also be considered.

Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent, full-time position.

  • There may be times that you are asked to carry out tasks not shown in the job description above.

Salary Package: A basic salary of circa £25,000 depending on experience.

Plus Benefits: 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension scheme.
