As Butchery Manager, you would be responsible for managing and working with the Food Hall Manager in pulling all of this vital activity together so that our customers have a truly unique and memorable shopping experience. Your focus as a Butchery Manager is to prepare a range of freshly prepared meat. You'll be also passionate about the quality and freshness and sharing your knowledge with our customers. Your Focus will always be on the customer and meeting their expectations, but you will also have responsibility for driving sales, profitability and food hygiene - so you will have a real sense of ownership and empowerment to make the Butchery Counter your own!

The Job Role Overview:

Our ideal Butchery Manager will:

  • You will be responsible for planning production to support both our Restaurant and Butcher/Deli Counter in the Farm Shop.
  • Preparing and cutting carcasses and cutting specific joints/cuts of meat.
  • Setting up counters displays.
  • Serving customer, advising and making recommendations.
  • Monitor & orders stock level and carry out weekly Stock counts
  • Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste.
  • Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
  • Close down butcher prep and counter area each day including preparation for the following day.
  • Experienced Butcher at least 3 years.
  • Flexibility to fit in around the stores and work Weekends
  • Have Great Merchandising Skills.
  • Be able to use an Epos system
  • Being able to use Excel and Outlook
  • Working to all HR, HSE, food safety, environmental and fire guidelines in line with company HR and compliance guidelines

Salary package £30- £35K
