Role Overview:
- We're looking to a recruit an ambitious, hardworking, friendly, and outgoing individual who is driven to develop and progress their career.
- Previous experience in livestock buying is required
- Maintain relationships with farmers, livestock agents and suppliers.
- Ensure the livestock purchased meet production requirements.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with abattoirs, live export companies, lot feeders, other stock agents and farmers.
- Carry out farm visits offering advice on selection, breeding and nutrition to farmers.
- Carry out tasks in accordance with current animal welfare legislation and company operating procedures at all times about safe movements, handling and production.
- Contribute to the recording and maintenance of slaughter information and data.
- Ensure livestock deliveries are as planned.
