The Company: With five generations of experience behind us, we pride ourselves as experts in bringing premium raw materials to both domestic and international pet food industries. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Planning & Logistics Manager to join our growing team in Harrogate.
The ideal individual will have at least 1-year minimum experience in a similar role, be highly organised and have a proven track record in delivering exceptional levels of customer service. The role will be reporting directly to the Trading Manager. The main duties will be
The Job Role Overview:
- Planning product schedules to ensure the minimum stock holding of each product is on hand to meet sales demand
- Ensure all raw material components are always available to satisfy purchases
- Liaising with other team members to ensure all raw material lead times are sufficient and can meet delivery times.
- Arranging transport of raw materials
- Working knowledge systems to optimise production planning
- Building and optimising third party relationships, particularly with hauliers and receiving warehouses
Personal specification
- Proficiency in the Microsoft packages including Teams as well as strong Excel skills.
- At least 1-year minimum experience in a similar role
- Organised, with good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate closely with stakeholders and put in place processes and procedures as part of continual improvement
- A positive, can-do attitude
Salary package
£30- £35K DOE
