Job Title: Rural Surveyor (MRICS) l Location: Cambridge

Company
An established and highly regarded independent rural property business. They are looking for a Rural Surveyor to join their team in Cambridge working alongside an experienced team of surveyors and wider rural professionals.
You'll have responsibility for your own clients and a varied workload, supporting farmers, landowners and rural businesses with professional advice across a broad range of rural property matters.
About the Role
- Deliver rural professional work and valuations across a variety of rural property
- Handle rural agency, including sales and lettings
- Advise on infrastructure, energy and rural diversification opportunities
- Manage your own client instructions from initial meeting through to completion
- Attend client meetings both on and off site
- Provide clear recommendations, fee proposals and professional advice
- Liaise with clients' professional advisers, including solicitors and accountants
- Negotiate sales and lettings and prepare Heads of Terms
- Advise on the sale and purchase of rural property
- Manage agricultural land, including Contract Farming Agreements
- Work on compulsory purchase and compensation matters
- Collaborate with other professional teams on planning, development and rural grants/subsidies
- Contribute to business development, publications and industry events
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
✔ Ideally 5+ years' post-qualification experience
✔ CAAV qualified or working towards CAAV
✔ Strong knowledge of rural property and the local market
✔ Experience across valuations, agency and rural professional work
✔ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
✔ Strong organisation and time-management abilities
✔ High attention to detail and accuracy
✔ The ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
✔ A strong commitment to delivering excellent client service
✔ A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle insured for business use
