The Job Role:
As Turf Harvest Operator, you will operate turf harvesting machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring high-quality turf is cut, prepared, and dispatched in line with customer requirements and company standards. The role supports the smooth running of harvesting operations and contributes to maintaining product quality and operational safety.

Location: Sovereign Turf Ltd, Sutton Hoo Farm, Woodbridge, Suffolk, IP12 3DJ.

Salary Package: £13.50 - £15.00 Per Hour Depending on Experience + Overtime is paid at time and a half.

Working Hours: Standard working week typically Sunday - Thursday.

Reporting To: Harvest Field Team Leader.

Working Conditions:
Full-time position with overtime as required.
Physical work in outdoor environments with exposure to machinery noise and weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
Harvesting Operations:
Operate turf harvesting machinery to cut turf accurately and prepare pallets for delivery.
Follow daily cutting schedules and meet customer deadlines.
Attention to detail required to maintain a high quality, high impact first impression to our customers.
When required an ability to operate Forklifts
When required Flexibility to support other farm duties

Equipment and Maintenance:
Carry out pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on machinery.
Report faults or breakdowns promptly to the Team Leader.
Ability to fix well known faults in the field.

Health and Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures.
Use appropriate PPE and maintain safe working practices at all times.

Team Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Assist with field changes and coordinate harvest plans as required.

Candidate Requirements:
Full UK driving licence (essential).
Experience operating agricultural machinery or turf harvesting machinery (desirable).
Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Good, positive communicator.
Ability to work under pressure.
