Service Support Engineer - Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Griffith Elder are a manufacturer of electronic weighing equipment and weighbridges, with customers in the agricultural, recycling and waste industries.
Due to continued growth they are wanting to recruit a Service Support Engineer to join their existing team to deliver excellent after-sales support to their customers.
Running of the product service and installation functions for our range of products.
Liaising with customers solving their problems on the telephone and arranging visits to undertake installation of new equipment and servicing / repairs of existing equipment.
Perform pre-delivery setup on new or used equipment.
Responsible for data entry for service works and time sheets.
60 – 70 % office based, talking with customers, logging details and organising visits and spare parts.
30 – 40 % in the field at customer sites, carrying out service and installation work.
This may vary depending on time of year and number of visits required.
It is expected that when visiting the candidate may need to stay away from the office for up to three days at a time.
Applicants should be customer focused.
Have a working knowledge of agriculture machinery.
Some experience with electronics and fault finding would be beneficial.
Take phone calls on the move, with coherent notes and logging.
Computer skills for updating service work details onto the company systems.
Have excellent communication skills with the ability to work well with customers externally and internally with the Griffith Elder team.
Be willing to work overtime at peak periods.
UK Driving Licence.
