Pay rate                      £12.00-15.00 per hour,(depending on experience) overtime after 48 hours/week @125% of basic salary

Working hours               Nov - Feb 40 hour week, Mar- Oct 45- 55 hour week

(Saturday working on a rota, extra overtime possible)

New Farm Produce is a family run company producing berries, cherries and asparagus across four sites with circa 100 ha of protected production under poly tunnels. We have our own onsite packing facilities supplying major retailers and other independent customers. We are accredited with the British Retail Consortium (BRC) status at A star level along with the Red Tractor and LEAF schemes. We have a range of modern tractors and machinery and we are a forward thinking business that continually innovates to be at the forefront of our industry. All our strawberries are grown on table tops, with 85% of our soft fruit production being grown in a coir substrate.

We have a vacancy for a tractor/sprayer driver and general tractor work around the farm, supporting production teams. Our equipment is generally smaller in size to allow access into tunnels. Your day to day responsibilities will be quite varied to include; spraying using air flow sprayers, mini digger driving and a wide range of tractor operations to support production activities. Minimum level of spraying certificates required PA1 and PA2a. Additional training will be provided for specialised spraying certification.

The ideal candidate will have some relevant studies for this role and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a commercial horticulture environment. The ability to learn quickly, with eye for detail is essential. Further training will be provided to ensure you have the skills needed to perform your tasks to the high standards we expect. New Farm Produce work force is diverse and you will be working as part of the team.

If required, accommodation is available in a modern mobile home on a shared basis. Cost £50.00 per week, plus gas and electric. Alternatively we can provide assistance to find local accommodation.
