My client is based in Manchester and is involved in the export of a range of Agricultural and related health products to over 60 countries worldwide. The company have embarked on a strategy to develop new business in its Agriculture products range, mainly to export markets. As a result, the company wish to recruit an additional resource, specifically in the areas of technical sales in Agriculture.
To manage and grow sales to a targeted list of worldwide customers in an efficient and effective manner against an agreed turnover and margin numbers, and to generate new business growth with current and new customers, in addition to actively participate in all aspects of the sales process, including marketing, and defined projects.
New business Focus.
Focus on time management to develop new business leads and conversion of same to the company.
Proactive participation in the analysis of customers and products, identification of targets, and the conversion of these in terms of sales and margin numbers.
Establish a working plan to address business on the basis of best practice, incorporating time and resource management.
Work closely with the team, and marketing to identify new opportunities, and convert same to numbers.
Propose face to face visits with targeted customers, identified as future strategic partners.
Positive action in ideas and innovation, to deliver better results for the company, in sales and marketing.
Continual effort to seek out new or different ways to help effectiveness and efficiency in the business, especially but not confined to sales.
Accurate quote calculation, and reporting, and specific attention to detail in internal processes.
Attention to accuracy in work, especially in the quote and order process, and in reporting sales and margin numbers to the business.

To manage and develop sales to a list of customers in different regions.

Ideal candidate Skills and Expertise:
BASIS Qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
Experience of selling crop protection products ideally to distributors is ideal.
Business Development experience is a must.
Technical sales experience is also highly advantageous!
Knowledge of application usage is very useful.
Sales and margin understanding, with cost control awareness.
Individual time management, understanding performance based management.
Negotiating skills, and appropriate languages.
You must be located close to South Manchester to commute to office the majority of the time.
Worldwide travel is also required as part of this role on some occasions.
