Agricultural Processing Supervisor

Please note this is an Agricultural job working on a busy farm in North Cornwall. The role is primarily manufacturing premium animal bedding, from a farm grown crop within a busy, working farm/agricultural environment. However, you will be part of the larger picture on the farm and may at times be required to work as part of the wider team.
With the above in mind, this is a very busy and demanding role for a keen and hard working candidate where unsociable hours may sometimes be necessary.

Essential skills:
Telehandler Operator
Tractor Driver, approx 10-15 hours a week required, considerably more at critical times of the year.
Forklift (training can be arranged)
Experience in working with hydraulic and mechanical machinery

Desirable skills:
Proven staff management experience
Busy production line experience
Previous farm experience
Engineering background
Fabrication experience would be a great bonus, as would neat welding experience.

About the ideal candidate: 
The ideal candidate will have experienced working farm life and/or a similar engineering background and be able to provide evidence and references.
The role includes overseeing all individual processing jobs on a production line within an agricultural processing unit, so will require an organised and methodical approach to tasks.
You will be required to operate all aspects of the processing machinery, gaining a working knowledge of the production line. 
Quality control across a variety of products is a vital part of the daily role.
The role represents a growth in the business and is very much to continue the growth of the product lines. 
An ability to think creatively, on your feet and be part of a small but supportive team is essential.
You will also be relied upon to show your own initiative in the absence of the manager and will be actively encouraged to add your own ideas and thoughts, to assist in the daily running and efficiency of all operations.
The ideal candidate will need to be able to work well as part of a small team, and show ability to clearly instruct other processing staff in their duties.

Salary: £18,000.00 to £25,000.00 /year
