The Company & Role:

The Trials Project Manager role is a very important and crucial role working for a Global Agro Chemicals company.
This role will require overseeing trials being conducted within the national companies function and primarily based at our clients industry-leading research centre in Essex. This team control the agricultural research and field trials for combinable crops, specifically in terms of crop protection / agro chemicals, seeds, bio stimulants and other products. This role will oversee the trials planning and protocols, data handling and the execution of successful field trials overall.

Key Responsibilities:

Use effective project planning methodologies to plan out all required projects ensuring that they all meet the deadline to the required standards and within budget.
Working with technical & commercial teams design protocols to complement the companies strategic objectives for mainly crop protection, nutrition and biostimulants trials.
Meet with key suppliers to agree trial protocols and budgets and create a programme of work to achieve the desired objectives.
Having established the trial protocols work collaboratively with internal team and contractors to ensure these are executed effectively.
Ensure thorough communication between all key parties and provide clarification of project objectives and executional requirements at all times.
Liaison with contractors working at trials sites across the UK to ensure trials are being managed and maintained in the correct way.
Accomplish project objectives through others, delegate authority, organise staff, control costs and provide feedback on a regular basis.
Monitor trial sites throughout the season communicating and demonstrating to key stakeholders the work.
Working with a team of trials and data colleagues, ensuring specific targets are met in the data outputs being provided.
Analysis and reporting of data alongside the analysis team, providing observations and escalating opportunities and challenges to the senior team.


Ideal Candidate Requirements / Qualifications & Skills/Experience Required:

A background working within the Agricultural sector.
Graduate level (Agricultural or science degree or equivalent).
Experience and knowledge of the crop protection sector.
Experience of field trials.
Proven track record of successfully completing projects, ideally with relevant qualifications.
Experience of leading teams in a project driven environment.
Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail / accuracy.
Highly organised and able to prioritise workload through delegation of a team.
Ability to work flexibly and accurately to tight timescales.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, being able to liaise effectively with various teams at various levels of an organisation.
Ability to form and develop rapport with contractors, other key suppliers and partners.
Ability to work irregular hours, days, evenings and sometimes weekends.
Ability to travel by car, train or aeroplane to various group sites both in the UK or overseas. Experience with MS Office Packages
