The Company:

We are very pleased to be recruiting for this fantastic agricultural company who represent and offer services to a range of sectors including cereals and horticulture. They are now recruiting for their cereals and oilseeds division and now require a Knowledge Exchange Manager to be based in the North East.

The Role:

Working closely with the Senior Knowledge Exchange Manager for Cereals & Oilseeds, you will be a key player in the development of KE activity for the Cereals & Oilseeds part of the arable sector. You will be required to build networks and run all aspects in the North East of England.
As you will travel extensively, meeting growers, agronomists and processors, we will look to you to understand levy payers’ needs in depth and provide strategic and tactical insights on opportunities and priorities. This will give you real impact on our products, services and business development activity. What’s more, you will work with the rest of the arable KE team in developing the national programme, so you can expect wide-ranging challenges and constant exposure to key industry stakeholders.

The Candidate:

Experience of delivering visionary knowledge exchange programmes is essential, backed by the credibility to facilitate farmer meetings and make high-profile presentations at events. You will need high levels of energy, enthusiasm and drive to join this fast moving and successful team. You will also need to be an excellent communicator and a positive and professional ambassador. Ideally you will be BASIS or FACTS qualified and have knowledge, expertise and a particular interest in Cereals & Oilseeds, or at least be willing to learn and train quickly in this area. You will certainly bring a deep understanding of arable farm businesses, impressive project management capabilities and a total focus on results. Finally, a team-oriented approach is paramount, and you will relish the challenge of engaging farmers and other agricultural professionals to interpret and meet their changing requirements.

The Package:

£36K - £43K basic salary dependent upon experience.
