Permanent, full time working 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

Brooksby Melton College is a specialist vocational Further and Higher Education provider in Leicestershire, spread across two main campuses – one in the heart of the lively market town of Melton Mowbray and the other on an 850-acre estate at Brooksby.  Both our campuses have undergone a £27m redevelopment, bringing new facilities and improved environments for all our students and staff.

We are currently rated as Good (Ofsted 2016), aiming to reach outstanding at the earliest opportunity.  We have a challenging strategy to grow and further improve Brooksby Melton College.  We are looking for a Programme Area Manager, with a specialism in Agriculture, to join this journey at an exciting time, to be able to effect change and create an outstanding college.

As a Programme Area Manager, you will be required to show a best practice approach in performance managing your team, providing leadership, management and support. You will be responsible for the innovation, implementation, impact and quality for the area curriculum programmes, plus short courses.  You will be fully aware of the changes in the sector and have a proactive and innovative approach to increasing the success of the department.

The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver on agricultural programmes and the drive to grow this area as part of the college’s vision for the future.

You will be self-motivated, ambitious, enthusiastic, confident and proactive, with excellent communication skills. We would like to hear from applicants who have experience of working in the land-based sector and have a minimum of a degree in a relevant vocational area.
