Independent of both industry and government, the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board has a crucial role to play in Britain’s economy. Our mission is to inspire farmers and growers to succeed in a rapidly changing world. You will manage the delivery of our KE Excellence Programme specifically aimed at all-year-round calving dairy farmers, coordinating the programmes and delivering events/resources through the farm excellence and digital platforms.
We are looking for two Knowledge Exchange Managers in Northern England, one role will be working predominantly with AYR calving farms, the other with our Dairy Leader farms across systems.
Working closely with both dairy farmers and industry partners, you will provide a direct link to AHDB, coordinating knowledge exchange activity, facilitating events and promoting the uptake of AHDB resources and optimal dairy systems approach. You will be responsible for recruitment and delivery of Strategic Dairy Farms across Northern England.
A skilled networker and organiser, you will combine exceptional interpersonal skills with good operational knowledge of British dairy farming. Naturally, you will be strongly focused on results, very team-oriented and passionate about making a difference, and you will be fully capable of prioritising a complex workload. Finally, since you will be field-based and travel extensively, it is essential that you have a full, clean driving licence.
