We are looking for two full-time growers on our 2 acre market garden.
Our Farm is set in the idyllic Cartmel Valley on the very southern tip of the Lake District.
We operating seven days a week, growing produce for two local Michelin-starred restaurants year-round.
We keep a small selection of livestock and grow vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruit using organic, bio-diverse and bio-intensive principles. We grow veg, herbs, flowers, and some fruit for two Michelin starred restaurants one mile away.
As part of a small team, good teamwork and communication is a must.
Applicants must be passionate about food and plants, and most importantly keen to learn.
A good work ethic and attention to detail are key attributes.
Horticultural experience is beneficial but not essential.
You will be required to work in all weathers doing anything from sowing, planting, bed prep, weeding and hoeing, to harvesting and any other general maintenance.
We deliver produce daily to the restaurants so a full driver's licence is a great help.
As we operate seven days a week, some weekend work may be required, but we are flexible with this and keen to organise it well in advance.
Salary range: £18,000 - £24,000 depending on experience.
