Reporting to:     Business Development Manager

Location:  Ideally close to one of our four sites (Chippenham, Harrogate, Glasgow or Wolverhampton).

The Role:

The Veterinary Advisor has responsibility for the provision of technical support for NMR Group services that centre on cow health.

Essential Key Skills:

-          Expertise in infectious disease and other aspects of cow health

-          Excellent written and oral communication skills

-          A wide knowledge of the dairy industry

-          The ability to use Windows OS and Microsoft Office packages

-          Good organisational and time management skills

-          Data handling and processing skills

-          Clean driving license

Key Responsibilities:

-          Primary responsibility for the development of the Certifarm service which is a CHeCS accredited disease control scheme provided by NML

-          Primary responsibility for the development of a new Neospora surveillance scheme designed for use by NMR recording customers

-          Provision of technical advice and support to NMR Group staff and customers

-          Delivery of technical input at meetings – particularly relating to Certifarm and Neospora

-          Assist in the development of communications and training materials

-          Query management (internal and external)

-          Assist in the development of current and new NMR health services

-          Work collaboratively with the other members of the NMR Vet Team
