Agricultural Banking Relationship Manager - Cheshire - £34K Basic


Our Client:

This new and exciting role is working for a specialist Agricultural Bank at their office based in Cheshire. This role is office based initially and will in time become much more of a field based role.

You will be providing financial services advice and selling a range of financial services including; loans, credit accounts and savings accounts and will provide these services to the farming community and their suppliers as well as to the distributor network. 

The role will involve:

Providing excellent customer service when executing tasks requested by the Bank or by the farmer customer, always completed in an efficient, polite and capable manner. 

Building personal relationships with all customers to ensure you understand their business and meet their banking needs.

Offering competitive savings and borrowing rates.

Securing online and mobile platforms that are intuitive and easy to use – allowing the farmer and distributor to self-service wherever possible.

The Agricultural Banking Relationship Manager is customer facing and is a critical role for this bank. You will possess sound marketing and sales skills in order to build trust and confidence in the brand – which in turn will support the growth of the business.


Job purpose:

You will be speaking and working with farmers on a daily basis, growing your portfolio by identifying where our customers could use the products. These products include term loans, revolving credit accounts, and savings accounts.  You will already have strong communication skills, a natural sales ability, a friendly attitude and an understanding of the agricultural industry. You will build strong relationships with farmers and distributors and become a trusted point of contact. 

This role will be office based but will require external distributor and farmer visits in order to support and grow your customer base. You will also work closely with the wider sales team and credit risk managers in order to achieve success.

Experience of selling / consulting within Agriculture.

Excellent communication skills.

Confident and self-motivated.

Resilient nature.

Previous experience in a similar sales role.

Agricultural background.


Package of offer:

£34K Basic Salary

+ 25 Days Holiday (Plus all Bank Holidays)
