British Strongman Competition
We hosted this competition for the first time in 2013, with T shirts provided on the day for entrants and over £1000 in prize money. It was a huge success, attracting 30 competitors and hundreds of spectators, from all over Britain.

With starter and advanced horses, this display showed how dressage horses are trained.
The Lamb National Sheep Race
Hundreds watched the agile Herdwick sheep, originating from the lake district, negotiate the race track.
Colours were chosen, bets placed, and everyone, including the lambs, had a great time.
Bob Hogg Sheepdog and Ducks
With audience participation (especially children), lots of visitors were prepared to get involved!
Tricks 4 Treats Dog Agility
Also offered a have-a-go agility course for the public to put their own dogs through their paces.
The parade of young stock on show was, as always, very popular.
Cooper's Critters with Blossom the Skunk and friends providing hands-on fun for children, this is always one of the visitor's favourites!
Bowley Hill Trail Race
As always, the race attracted a large entry, this year's winner completing the course with a new time record.
Tug of War Final
Always pulls the spectators! What an exciting end to the heats taking place throughout the day.
Egg Catching competition
This competition speaks for itself!
The Fire Brigade attended with a Fire Engine, Mobile Fire Station, Urban Search and Rescue and Fire Safety Teams, and a secret weapon in the fight against vehicle fires!
