The Kent County Show, held on 5, 6, 7 July 2019 at the Kent Showground, Maidstone is the region’s showcase event for farming, countryside and rural life. The three day shows brings together the very best of Kent with animals, food, fun and excitement, giving a true feel of what ‘The Garden of England’ has to offer.
Twice a day, on all three Show days, the main ring will be taken over by the Household Cavalry as they perform their world renowned Musical Ride. Steeped in tradition, the Regiment will perform in full state ceremonial uniforms and will demonstrate their precise battlefield manoeuvres. Get your seat around the ring to experience this showcase of the very best military equestrianism and tradition.
Visitors to the Show can also enjoy a flypast from the ‘Spirit of Kent’ Spitfire, pig racing and entertainment from a pair of Hedge Men. Head down to the Country, Game and Canine Area for some thrilling terrier racing, the Sheep Show and the UK Pole Climbing Championships.
The Kent County Show also hosts top class competitive show jumping which visitors can watch and cheer on. With over 1000 entries into the many showing classes, farrier demonstrations, heavy horse turnouts and scurry driving, the three day Show is packed with exciting equestrian competitions.
Visit the Agricultural Area to see the 800 prize winning cattle, sheep and goats. Learn more about wool from the British Wool Marketing Board. Stop by the Poultry Tent to see the many different breeds of chickens, roosters and ducks.
With a variety of stalls selling items ranging from riding boots to chocolate wine, from garden benches to bonsai trees, there are hundreds of treasures to be found. Venture down to the vintage vehicle section, wander through the woodland area and discover something different at the Kent County Show.
