British National Ploughing Championships 2022

​Agricultural and Farming Jobs are proud to be partnering with this years British National Ploughing Championships which is taking place on Saturday 8th October – Sunday 9th October 2022. The event is organised by The Society of Ploughmen which is a registered charity that was founded in 1972.

This year will mark the 71st British National Ploughing Championships, with the event taking place on Chatsworth Estate, in North East Derbyshire. Every year the event is held in a completely different place from the year before, and it will be the first time ever that it is being held in the county of Derbyshire.

Across the two busy days of the event, there will be around 230 ploughmen and women from all over Great Britain competing. The two days will consist of 15 different ploughing classes, with a plough off final taking place on the Sunday.

The British Champions will be crowned at the event, with the top competitors being selected to represent England at the World and European Ploughing Championships in 2023.

The event will have something for everyone, including steam ploughing engines, vintage tractors, machinery displays, agricultural trade stands, crafts, as well as shopping stalls. What area of the event will you be visiting first?
