Location of the Job: Scotland; Livingston, Dunbar, Bathgate, Falkrik, Bo'ness, Dunfermline, Cumbernauld, Larbert, Stenhousemuir, Croy, Bishopbriggs, Bannockburn, Linlithgow, Paisley and Motherwell.

The Company:
Our client is a specialist in the installation and service of automated and conventional dairy systems, together with milk cooling and processing technologies, and full agricultural electrical installations.

The Industry: Dairy Systems, Dairy Equipment, Cooling Systems, Milk Cooling, Processing Technologies, Agricultural Engineering, Automated systems, Conventional Dairy Systems, Dairy Parlours, Milking Parlours.

The Job Role Details:
Due to continued expansion and growth, we are recruiting for an experienced Agricultural / Dairy Engineer to join this busy team to work on dairy systems, dairy robotics and milking cooling equipment. A background in agriculture and knowledge of the dairy industry would be preferred although not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
You will:

  • Carry out installations of dairy parlours / equipment.

  • Test finished products and system capabilities.

  • Keep necessary equipment operational.

  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results.

  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.

  • Demonstrate good communication skills with a positive attitude.

  • Travel to farms and sites across Scotland as and when required.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be:

  • Knowledge and experience of on farm dairy equipment.

  • A background in electrical or automated milking systems (preferred although not essential as training will be provided)

  • An electrical and mechanical aptitude.

  • Able to demonstrate the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

  • Relevant experience or Electrical Engineering qualification HND or Degree.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Based / living in Scotland.

  • Happy to travel in this field based role.

Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent full-time position.

  • You will be based from home, field working out of the company vehicle.

  • The basic working week is 40 hours, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm.

  • On-call rota 1 in 4.

  • Overtime is paid at time and a half Monday - Saturday and double time on Sundays.

Salary Package: A basic hourly pay rate of £14 - £18 per hour depending on experience.
