The Job Role Details:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Agricultural Fabricator / Welder to join a workshop operations team. This is a hands-on role, to design, fabricate, modify, and repair agricultural machinery, equipment, and structures using welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques, ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency for on-farm operations.
Key Responsibilities:
You will…
Fabrication of new parts, frames, and equipment to drawings or verbal instructions.
Welding repairs and modifications on farm machinery, trailers, attachments, and steel structures.
Carrying out MIG, TIG, and stick welding to a high standard.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
Cutting, drilling, grinding, and finishing metal components.
Operating workshop tools and equipment safely (e.g., presses, saws, drills, grinders, plasma cutters).
Maintaining tools, equipment, and workshop cleanliness.
Assisting with on and off-site breakdown repairs where welding/fabrication is required.
Working in line with health & safety policies, including safe handling of gases, hot work, and PPE use.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be…
Proven welding experience (MIG, stick; TIG desirable).
Strong fabrication skills (measuring, cutting, assembling).
Ability to work from technical drawings or adapt designs practically.
Knowledge of agricultural machinery and implements.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
