Agricultural Farm Engineer
Location of the Job: West Midlands, North Wales and surrounding areas.
The Company: Our client is a leading Fresh Produce manufacturer in the UK.
The Industry: Agricultural Engineer, Farm Engineer, Agricultural Mechanic, Farm Mechanic, Farm Machinery Engineer.
The Job Role details:
Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, you will be required to service, repair and maintain a wide range of Farm Machinery along-side 4 other Agricultural Engineers. You will mainly be working on the likes of John Deere Tractors, Planting and Harvesting equipment and other similar machinery and equipment. This role is predominately workshop based, however you will be required to travel to customers and farmers, as and when required.
Carry out routine maintenance work on a variety of farm machinery, including: changing fluids and lubricating parts, on a varied range of agricultural equipment used within the business.
Complete end of season overhaul and repairs on a wide range of agricultural and farm machinery.
Make the Workshop Manager aware of any machinery faults you may notice or come across, that may need repairing of replacing.
Diagnose faults on machines using hydraulic, pneumatic systems and low voltage electrics.
Carry out field-based repairs and servicing in all weather conditions.
Plan and prioritise work safely and effectively.
Replace parts and assist in building new machines, within the workshop environment.
Ensure all relevant documents are filled in correctly and on time.
Adhere to all health and safety at all times.
Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
You will have / be;
Experience working in a similar role.
Experience working on a range of Agricultural and Farm Machinery.
Electrical diagnostics experience.
A Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent, is highly desirable but not essential.
Able to work well as part of a team.
Great communication and customer service skills.
This is a permanent full-time role.
Some overtime and Saturday work will be required throughout busy / seasonal periods.
Salary Package: A basic salary of £36,000 - £37,000 per year, depending on experience.
Plus Benefits: Use of a company vehicle when attending break-downs off-site, company expenses paid, plus pension scheme.
