Agricultural Machinery Sales Representative – South East

Location of the Job: South East of England - Kent, West Sussex, East Sussex and Berkshire.

The Company: Our client is a dynamic and growing Agricultural Machinery business.

The Industry: Agricultural Machinery, Farm Machinery, Construction Machinery, Heavy Machinery.

The Job Role details:

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager / Brach Manager you will be responsible for promoting and selling specialist and premium Agricultural Machinery (both new and used - including attachment and equipment) to farmers and farming businesses throughout your sales territory.

Key Responsibilities:

You will;

  • Ensure sales volume, market share and profit targets are achieved.

  • Log all sales enquires with outcomes and follow up actions in CRM system.

  • Provide customers with the relevant information regarding our franchised products.

  • Attend appropriate shows and events during the year.

  • Manage relationships with customers, including keeping in regular contact regarding events whilst maintaining a “customer focused” attitude.

  • Ensure all enquiries and quotations are dealt with in a timely manner.

  • Prospect using finance end dates and warranty end dates and actively prospecting new customers.

  • Encompass the whole sales cycle from creating new leads/ opportunities through to delivery and customer follow up.

  • Provide excellent customer service and support to both established and new customers.

  • Maintain good housekeeping standards in line with company requirements.

  • Complete and process sales paperwork and all administration in line with company processes.

  • Ensure the marketing department receive pictures of all part exchange machinery in a timely manner.

  • Use the company CRM to efficiently manage the territory and log all detail from prospect through to sale as required by company guidelines.

  • Use GOLD as required.

  • Maintain regular contact with your colleagues and customers to help build stronger relationships

  • Discuss all enquiries with your sales manager.

  • Ensure any customer issues are resolved quickly and effectively.

Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:

You will have / be;

  • Experience selling similar machinery directly to farmers.

  • Good Agricultural industry knowledge.

  • Experience travelling in a field sales role, covering a sales area.

  • A proven track record in sales and negotiation.

  • Excellent IT, communication and presentation skills.

  • A ‘can do’ attitude towards work.

Additional Information: This is a permanent full-time role.

Salary package: A basic salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per year depending on experience.
