Agricultural Service Co-ordinator

Location of the Job: South West: Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.

The Company: Is a specialist supplier of Agricultural and Groundcare Machinery.

The Industry: Agricultural Machinery, Farm Machinery, Groundcare Equipment, Groundcare Machinery, Tractors, ATVs.

The Job Role Details:

An ambitious Service Controller is now needed to drive the ongoing success of this agricultural machinery dealership Service Department - could this be the ideal role for you?

This is currently a supervisory position with the opportunity for you to develop your career as the business grows.

You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership and organisational skills and will ideally have previous experience of working within a service department. This role would ideally suit either an experienced Service Controller or a highly organised and experienced Workshop Administrator who is looking for the next step in their career…

This is a customer facing role so the ability to build long-lasting and new relationships with customers will be key to your success. Ideally you will have the ability to identify commonly used parts and be confident in receiving enquiries and liaising with our experienced team of technicians to provide feedback to our customers.

You will provide effective leadership to the Service Team through efficient planning, identifying training needs and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
You will:

  • Ensure a consistent, high standard of service is delivered by the Service Team.

  • Provide specialist service advice to our customers over the counter/telephone.

  • Build new relationships with customers to increase department growth.

  • General administrative duties to include management of the workshop diary, billing and warranty claims.

  • Maintain a high level of H&S within the workshop and associated areas.

  • Deliver regular toolbox talks to raise H&S awareness.

  • Manage your department's fleet vehicles in accordance with the Company Vehicle Policy and comply with all Operator Licence requirements.

  • Arrange appropriate training for the Service Technicians to ensure our compliance with current legislation.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be:

  • Strong leadership skills with direct or transferrable industry experience.

  • Knowledge of machinery and the ability to identify common parts is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build long lasting customer relationships.

  • A good level of numeracy, literacy and IT skills.

  • An accurate and organised approach to ensure efficiency during busy periods.

  • A full, clean driving licence is essential.

  • Must be adaptable and available to work 8am - 12:30pm Saturdays, as part of a rota system.

Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent full-time position.

  • Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (8am-12pm Saturdays on a rota basis)

Salary Package: TBC
