Agricultural Service Engineer

Location of the Job: Norfolk & Suffolk.

The Company: Our client is a leading Agricultural & Farm Machinery manufacturer and supplier.

The Industry: Agricultural Machinery, Farm Machinery, Heavy Machinery.

The Job Role details: You will be responsible for travelling across East Anglia, the UK (and occasionally overseas) to diagnose, service, repair and overhaul a range of machinery and equipment mainly for the Agricultural, Farming & Recycling industries.

Key Responsibilities:
You will;

  • Perform diagnosis and repairs on a range of Agricultural and Farm Machinery (harvesters & planters).

  • Set up new machinery in the field with customers / farmers.

  • Assist with demonstrations to potential customers.

  • Perform electrical fault finding.

  • Perform overhauls / servicing in and out of the workshop.

  • Participate in International dealer training as required to keep up to date with the latest technologies.

  • Provide advice to customers in relation to operation, best practices for use / maintenance etc.

Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
You will have / be;

  • Agricultural experience - working on the service, repairs and maintenance of Agricultural and Farm Machinery.

  • Experience in a similar role.

  • Electrical / hydraulic biased.

  • A great team worker.

  • Good time management skills.

  • Driving license essential.

Additional Information:

  • Reporting to: the Managing Director.

  • Normal Hours: Monday - Thursday: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM & 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM on Friday's.

  • Overtime: will be required during busy / seasonal periods.

Salary Package:
Basic hourly pay rate: between: £13.00 - £15.00 per hour depending on experience.

  • Overtime: is paid at time and a half after 39 hours, first 4 hours on Saturday at time and half, then double time for remainder of Saturday and all day Sunday.

  • Enhancements for being on call.
