The Job Role details:
Due to the ongoing success of this busy Agricultural Machinery Dealership – they are now looking for experienced Service Technician to join their busy workshop in East Anglia. Agricultural Service Technicians and Groundcare Service Engineers are needed.
Ideally you will have proven experience in an agricultural and / or groundcare machine diagnostics role, and used to seasonal repair and routine maintenance, servicing of Tractors, Combines, Harvesters, Balers and Root Crop equipment. Also Groundcare and Horticultural Machinery.
This is a physical role that involves working on and off site. A flexible approach to working hours is essential (as you will be required to work, on call, out of hours, on a rota basis)
Key Responsibilities:
You will;
Conduct pre-delivery inspections.
Carry out scheduled service maintenance, repairs and rectifications.
Carry out fault-finding and diagnosis.
Recommend repair solutions to customers & managers.
Promote dealership services to customers.
Conduct personal training and development plans.
Attend manufacturers’ training courses.
Adhere to the company health and safety procedures.
Maintain the company works van and working area cleanliness.
Complete job risk assessments, job cards and personal time-sheets.
Utilise PC-based diagnostics, IBCOS system & manufacturers’ warranty and service systems.
Liaise and communicate with customers, colleagues, manufacturers and suppliers.
Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
You will have / be;
Proven experience working in a similar role.
Experience working on Agricultural and / or Groundcare Machinery and Equipment.
Experience working on; AGCO, Massey, Fendt, Kubota, Valtra or Grimme – highly advantageous!
Great communication and IT skills.
Willing to travel.
Willing to work extra hours and overtime during busy seasonal periods.
Additional Information:
This is a work-shop (60%) and field-based (40%) position – therefore travel will be required.
39 Hour basic working week, Monday- Friday.
Overtime will be required during busy seasonal periods.
Overtime is paid at time and a half after 39 hours.
Sunday's and bank holidays - double time overtime rate.
Salary package: An hourly pay rate of up to £15 per hour depending on experience.
