​Agricultural Service Engineer

Location of the Job: South West of England – Devon and Cornwall, Kingsteignton, Teignmouth, Paignton, Torquay, Dawlish, Exmouth, Exeter, Ivybridge, Newton Abbot and surrounding areas.

The Company: Our client supplies new and used specialist Farming and Groundcare machinery and accessories to farmers and farming customers across the South West.

The Industry: Agricultural Machinery, Farm Machinery, Groundcare Machinery, Garden Machinery, Farming accessories, Tractors, Foragers, ATVs.

The Job Role details:
Due to customer demand and a highly busy agricultural service department, my client is now looking to expand the team by recruiting for an experienced Agricultural Service Engineer to join the busy workshop. You must be customer focused and able to work using your own initiative as well as work well as part of a team. The varied role will require you to work on site as well as in the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:
You will:

  • Carry out diagnostics and repair work on a range of Agricultural, Farm and Garden Machinery.

  • Working on: Tractors, Forages, ATVs and smaller equipment.

  • Carry out pre delivery inspections / PDI and installation work on new and used machinery.

  • Keep up to date with the latest technology and company training.

  • Be familiar and confident using IT and electronic diagnostic equipment.

  • Work overtime as and when required through busy and seasonal periods.

Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
You will:

  • Have experience working as an Engineer on Agricultural, Farm, Groundcare, Garden or Construction Machinery.

  • Be able to communicate at all levels – with colleagues and with customers.

  • Have excellent customer service skills.

  • Be able to work well under pressure.

  • Be able to meet the demands of the customer.

  • Have a full UK driving licence.

Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent full-time position.

  • Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5 PM.

  • Saturday (Rota basis) 8 AM – 12:30 PM

  • On call (Rota basis in season).

  • Overtime rate is 1.3x Monday to Saturday and double time on Sunday's and Bank Holidays.

Salary package: A basic salary of £27,000 - £30,000 depending on experience.
