​Agricultural Service Technician / Agricultural Service Engineer

Location of the Job: Kent, East Sussex and West Sussex.

The Company: Our client is a well-established Agricultural machinery dealership.

The Industry: Agricultural Machinery, Farm Machinery, Tractors, Agricultural Dealership.

The Job Role details: Due to the rapid and ongoing success, my client is now expanding and looking for experienced Agricultural Technician's to diagnose and repair agricultural machinery and equipment working throughout the South East of England. The role will entail working on site and out of the dealership depots as and when required. Ideally you will have worked for a main agricultural dealership and have some manufactures training.

Key Responsibilities:
You will;

  • Service, repair and maintain Agricultural machinery and equipment – mainly tractors.

  • Travel to and from customers sites as and when required.

  • Work through mechanical processes.

  • Read and understand schematic diagrams.

  • Work alone and as part of a team.

Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
You will have / be;

  • Good mechanical knowledge – have the ability to work through mechanical processes.

  • Understand electrical systems – have experience of auto electronic systems.

  • Must be able to read and understand schematic diagrams.

  • Have experience of OEM diagnosis software.

  • Understand Hydraulic systems – able to work on modern engine systems.

  • Have experience in working on Agricultural equipment or similar.

  • Be experienced in field service work.

  • Able to work alone as well as being a team-player.

Other skills that would be an advantage but not essential:

  • Understanding GPS & Guidance systems.

  • Combine harvester experience.

  • Ability to fabricate and weld.

Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent, full-time position.

  • 42 hour week: Monday – Friday.

  • You will need to be flexible in terms of working hours as there are seasonal requirements, and an out of hours call out rota.

  • Manufacturer's product training will also be provided.

Salary package: An hourly pay rate above average industry rates of pay, depending on experience.
