Arable Operator - D & JA Jones

We are a family farm based in North Yorkshire working between York and Northallerton. The farm comprises of 1300 acres arable land growing and harvesting crops for our AD plant, with potatoes, cereals and sugar beet for general sale.
All crop work is undertaken in house, including umbilical work, cultivations and harvesting. Alongside this you must therefore be willing to learn or able to drive all harvesting equipment including the potato harvester and combine. There will be spraying to complete so PA1 and PA2 is essential. You may also be required to assist with some stock work during busy periods.
Accommodation can be provided for the right candidate. The hourly rate will be between £10-£12/hour but is negotiable for the right person.
Will be enrolled in company pension scheme upon successful completion of probationary period.
This position is a responsible role which requires a high level of communication with the family. The ideal candidate will be experienced, but ability to use your initiative is very important to us; as is attention to health and safety and a can-do attitude. Within this role we would like the person to be confident in basic maintenance of machinery.
