Job Title: Area Sales Representative - Agricultural, Garden Machinery & Wood Processing Products.
Location of the Job: Field based. Territory - Wales and parts of the Midlands.
Salary: £40,000 + Generous commission + Company van

The Company:
Our client is a well-established, highly successful and innovative business that specialise in selling an
exclusive range of products to Agricultural and Garden Machinery Distributors.

The Industry:
Ground Care Sales Job, Agricultural Machinery, Agricultural Products, Agricultural Sales, Garden
Machinery and Wood Processing Product Sales, Machinery Sales.

Salary Package:
£40,000.00 basic salary
Generous commission package
A high spec van and all business expenses paid.

The Role:
Duties include but not limited to:
1. Travelling throughout the territory you will be responsible for managing and increasing sales to
well established distributors, as well as winning new business within the designated territory.
2. Working to a pre-planned weekly call cycle, staying away from home when on the extremities
of the territory. Nights away from home could be between 2 to 3 nights dependant on your
home location.
3. Presenting, promoting, demonstrating, and selling our products positively and professionally.
4. Representing the company in a positive and professional manner. Establishing and maintaining
strong relationships with new and existing customers.
5. Taking the territory to the next level by driving sales, generating new business, and maximising
the sales potential for that territory.
6. Reporting and discussing sales activity and opportunities with management to progress results
within the territory. Product training for the sales staff in our dealers, as well as attending their
trade shows and/or open days.
7. Achieving and exceeding the sales targets set for all product groups, ensuring, where possible
the full range of products are stocked by each customer throughout your territory.

About You:

1. You MUST have a full clean UK driving licence, be committed, have a very positive attitude,
dedicated and above all professional with a magnetic personality to build strong and genuine
relationships with customers.
2. Live within the territory, preferably closer to the centre, to minimise overnight stays and maximise
travel efficiencies.
3. Happy with overnight stays when necessary.
4. Results driven with a proven track record in sales, not order taking.
5. Self-motivated, disciplined, and ambitious to succeed in a demanding sales role, where
achieving budgets is key to success and income.
6. Experience working in the agriculture industry or a keen interest in agricultural and garden
machinery products is preferable but not essential.
7. Excellent sales and customer planning, along with previous presentation and demonstration
experience.
This role is field based and will require the successful candidate to stay away from home when working
in the extremities of the territory. This is dependent on where you live as the nearer to the centre of the
territory the least number of nights away will be required.
