Assistant Parts Manager Supervisor

Location of the Job:

Depot based in Oxfordshire.

Salary & Benefits Package:

  • Paying up to £40,000 basic salary per year depending on experience.

  • Company pension scheme.

Additional Information:

  • This is a full-time, permanent position.

  • Hours of work are 8:00am - 5:30pm

  • Monday - Friday.

  • Plus overtime and occasional Saturday's when required by department rota.

The Job Role Details:

An Assistant Parts Manager Supervisor is now required to assist in the sale of all agricultural parts, and to record accurate agricultural parts movements. It will be your responsibility to supervise as necessary, and to maintain the smooth running of the agricultural parts department.

Key Responsibilities:
You will…

  • Promote and encourage the profitable sale of all agricultural parts stock.

  • Be responsible for the supervision of staff.

  • Facilitate the smooth and efficient running of the agricultural parts department in conjunction with other departments and to ensure safe working conditions.

  • Take safeguards where necessary to ensure safety of stock and to keep correct and efficient records.

  • Be willing to attend any shows or Company meetings.

  • Deliver or collect any items as necessary.

  • Ensure good housekeeping within the department with a view to the safety of all personnel.

  • Undertake the inspection and receipt of deliveries of goods inwards and accompanying documentation, and to store in a good and proper condition.

  • Distribute the parts and paperwork to the correct departments.

  • Attend to the return of goods to the manufacturer and to the posting of goods to the customer by methods as instructed.

  • Deal with customers, internal and external fairly, efficiently and with courtesy at all times, with a view to maintaining a good relationship between the Company and its customers.

  • Deal with all enquiries and queries received (written/telephone/verbal/email), quickly and efficiently, providing a good service at all times.

  • Use good communication techniques to ensure good communication between both internal and external customers, and suppliers, to present a good image of the Company at all times.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be…

  • Experience working in a parts department for an Agricultural or Farm Machinery Company.

  • A mechanical / technical / engineering knowledge.

  • A good understanding of the farming industry.

  • Excellent communication skills and good attention to detail.

  • People management or supervisor experience in a previous position.

  • A full UK driving licence.

  • Willing to work overtime or Saturday's as and when required.

Essential Skills:

  • Agricultural industry experience.

  • Parts Supervisor or Parts Manager experience in a similar role.
