The Job Role details:
An exciting opportunity has arisen at my clients organisation for an enthusiastic self starter to join as an Assistant Raw Materials Trader, responsible for selling business to business and direct to farmers.
This role could potentially suit an individual who has an interest in agricultural commodities and markets, ideally with some sales experience, but most importantly someone who has the ability to build relationships with customers. This is an exciting opportunity in an area of the business which we are keen to develop and expand.
This is a sales related, desk based position, working alongside my clients Operations Director, Raw materials and Sales teams.
You will be given many opportunities to take your own initiative and responsibility, which means you will be partly able to interpret your position and its future perspective yourself.
Aim of the role:
To be the recognised Assistant Raw Materials Trader for the area. You will be responsible for the realisation of sales targets, ensuring you meet the technical/commercial requirements of the market and for my Clients organisation.
To maintain and expand sales of Straights & Blend Trade, liaising with suppliers, merchants, customers and the sales team.
Ensure margins are monitored and achieved.
To support and assist the Operations Director and other Raw Materials team members to ensure all requirements of the department are fulfilled.
You will also actively promote my clients leadership through platform speaking at meetings and events organised throughout the Business Unit.

Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
MUST have a dedicated interest in Agriculture.
MUST have basic knowledge of straights and molasses .
MUST have a strong knowledge of the UK's beef and sheep sectors.
MUST have drive to bring the best products, tools and advice to our farmers.
MUST have nutritional knowledge.
MUST have proven sales experience.
MUST have excellent communication skills.
MUST be IT Literate.
MUST be results driven / proactive.
IDEALLY will have on-farm experience.
Additional Information:
28 days holiday per annum.
40hrs per week.
Salary package:
£20000-£29000 depending upon experience - Plus commission and company benefits!!!!
