Business Analyst - Chippenham

The Role:

The Business Analyst will actively support the Software Development Team facilitating the relationships between the business and technical roles, ensuring accurate and appropriate decisions are made and requirements are prioritised and kept up-to-date on a day-to-day basis.

Alongside this you will be working with Business Sponsors and Project Managers formulating project justifications, promoting the business vision and communicating solution options.

Key to this, the Business Analyst will be actively involved with all types of business representative and end-users in the process of evolving solutions which will be vital to the success of any development.

Ultimately, you should be able work with various stakeholders across the business to determine their requirements and translate them into quality IT systems.

• Be able to deal with multiple projects and rapid changes

• Good at building effective relationships with various business representative, (technical and non-technical)

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including active listening skills

• Excellent documenting skills

• Very well organised with good time management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with various internal stakeholders analysing their requirements and making sure implications of their decisions/changes are understood

• Work with Third Parties understanding their requirements and provide documentation where needed

• Define current business systems and analyse, design and develop modifications and changes to existing systems identifying opportunities, risks and impacts

• Document interfaces between new and legacy systems

• Develop and understand how present and future business needs will impact a solution

• Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and gain greater buy-in to decisions

• Identify and document all types of requirements, including As-Is/To-Be business processes, keeping a track of these throughout the project phases, prioritising and helping remove ambiguity

• Model system solutions and alternative options using Business Analysis techniques

• Analyse and prioritise requirements that enable a chosen solution to be specified, developed, evaluated and tested

• Project lead small projects in accordance with the IT Project Management process.
