Opportunity

Operating on a self-employed basis and enjoying shared responsibility with the current partner for managing the team and growing the existing business in what’s predominately an agricultural area, you’ll be able to build on a ready-made client base, whilst benefiting from the support only a big brand can give. Enjoying a hands-on role, that involves of mix of new business and ‘existing book’, you will be working with a loyal base of rural businesses and farming members, whilst benefiting from a highly supportive NFU presence – which when combined, will offer plenty of opportunity to deliver real growth in both farming and commercial sectors.

Requirements

First and foremost, we’re looking for a real people person, ideally with strong connections/networks in the local farming and agricultural community, who has a genuine passion for customer service. A proven leader and business developer, who can spot and convert a sales opportunity. Someone who can lead from the front and is capable of managing themselves, their team and the business, growing revenues and profit along the way. If you also have any experience of farming insurance and/or a broker background then even better – but either way, don’t let it stop you from applying.

Rewards

Estimated on target earnings for the first year (based on the current renewal income of the agency) are £40,000 and thereafter it will be up to you, with no limit to your future earnings potential, which will be governed by your drive, vision and personal ambition. But equally, the lifestyle and the freedom that goes with being your own boss and running your own business should not be underestimated.
