Buyer – Vegetables

The Company: Successful family-run organisation that specialise in the growing and trading of a variety of vegetables.
The Industry: Fresh Produce, Vegetables, Food, Agriculture, Farming, Buying, Sales
Purpose of the Job: This long-term position has become available to work closely with the Company Director to help support growth and business development.
Role Responsibilities:
To buy and sell cucumbers, peppers and aubergines.
Dealing with retailers.
To build and nurture strong relationships.
Buying produce from growers.
Working alongside the Company Director.
Daily administration duties.
Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
Experience within the fresh produce sector.
Strong sales and negotiation skills.
IT literate and strong administration skills.
Outgoing, personable, confident and eager.
Looking for a long-term position.
Hunger and willingness to learn.
Understanding of product lines (cucumbers, peppers, aubergines).
A relevant degree.
Happy to travel across the UK and internationally.
Salary Package:
Basic salary will be between £25K - £35K DOE.
