Cattleperson
The Rannoch Trust seeks an experienced, versatile Cattleperson to look after approximately 12 cows and calves for new summer grazing experiment on Rannoch Moor.
Other estate duties will depend on the individual's skills; grounds maintenance, fishing. This role would ideally suit someone from a crofting background. Car driver required due to location.
Permanent job with a salary of £18,000. All outgoings paid (to include utilities and Council Tax). Excellent accommodation at West end of Loch Rannoch.
The Rannoch Estate
The estate lies in one of the most beautiful, secluded but easily accessible parts of the Highlands.
Situated around the west end of Loch Rannoch, Perthshire, it can be reached for breakfast by overnight sleeper train from London, or by road one hour west of Pitlochry on the A9.
The Estate provides first class red deer stalking over 20,000 acres, with about 50 stags and 60 hinds being shot each year. Grouse are shot over pointers. The estate also provides exceptional trout and pike fishing.
