Company Accountant (Glasgow)
The Hamilton Ross Group are leading suppliers of Agricultural, Groundcare and Construction machinery across Central Scotland.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Company Accountant to join our team, based at our head office in Bishopton, Glasgow. The successful candidate would be primarily responsible for overseeing our Hamilton Brothers locations, including Bishopton, Tarbolton & Campbeltown across central Scotland.
Requirements:
Experience with accounting software such as SAGE or similar.
Recognised accountancy qualification or qualified by experience.
Ability to communicate confidently with business owners, managers & external stakeholders.
Leadership and interpersonal skills to oversee the effective running of the accounts administration team.
Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy through efficient time management.
Responsibilities:
Annual statutory accounts preparation and management of annual audits.
Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
Submitting quarterly VAT returns.
Overseeing bank reconciliations.
Maintaining & updating fixed asset records.
Managing ledgers.
Producing budgets and forecasts.
Managing cash flow and bank balances.
Dealing with Companies House and National Statistics returns.
Providing general financial advice to the Directors and Managers.
