Construction Plant Fitter / Mobile Field Service Engineer
Location of the Job: London to Midlands; Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, Berkshire, Surrey.

The Job Role details:
Due to success and expansion our client is now recruiting for an experienced Construction Plant Fitter or Mobile Field Service Engineer to be based-from home, in the North London to Midlands region – travelling to site and responsible for the service, maintenance and repair work on a variety of heavy construction plant machinery. You will mainly be working on a range of excavators, bulldozer, dump trucks and mobile crushers – but not limited to working on this type of machinery. Some national travel will be required once or twice each month - which may involve travel and overnight stays in Scotland, North West and North East.
Key Responsibilities:
You will;
Mostly be focused on the service, repair and maintenance of a range of Construction equipment, including, Excavators, Dump Trucks, Bulldozers, Wheel Loaders, Mobile Crushers and more.
Travel from home, to meet with customers on site.
Carry out routine maintenance of heavy plant vehicles and machinery as and when required.
Carry out repairs as necessary to ensure equipment is fit for purpose.
Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
You will have / be;
Experience working on Construction Plant Machinery.
Strong hydraulic and electric skills – able to trouble-shoot / diagnose machinery.
Dealership work experience.
A fully qualified Engineer or Fitter.
A full UK driving licence.
Able to communicate effectively.
Able to work well as part of a team.
Additional Information:
This is a permanent full-time position.
Basic working week is: 39 hours. Monday to Friday.
This position is home-based.
You will be paid from door to door.
Suitable candidates must be happy to travel and spend nights away from home occasionally.
Salary package: An hourly pay rate of £19 – £21 per hour depending on experience.
Plus Benefits: A fully expensed company van, home-based role, paid door to door, fantastic overtime rates available.
