Data & Insight Executive
Location: Birmingham

The Company:
Fresh Fruit Suppliers and Importers.

The Industry: Food, Fresh Produce, Transport, Logistics, Management

Purpose of the Job:

To take a lead with respect to data and insight provision with the commercial function, including:

  • Pro-actively developing the customer, category and commercial insight function for the Group.

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with customer insight teams and external data providers.

  • To support Commercial team in the creation and management of Account and Category plans.

  • To develop and disseminate periodic reports (both internal and external) to agreed timeframes.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage all customer specific data sources, ensuring data availability for all products.

  • Manage Kantar data source, maintaining effective working relationship with Kantar team.

  • Identify and recommend additional qualitative and quantitative data sources to support better understanding of consumers, customers and supply chain.

  • Create and manage general market intelligence database using other internal and external data sources.

  • Create and manage specific market data for customer and category plans. Present relevant updates at monthly internal reviews.

  • Preparation and delivery of customer and internal presentations to agreed schedules.

  • Delivery of tailored customer specific reports as required by agreement with Account Managers and Business Unit Directors.

  • Prepare ad hoc reviews and briefing reports as required by key stakeholders.

  • Create and manage store-based market audit programme.

  • Training, mentoring and coaching “customer facing team” to support their understanding and delivery of insight data.

  • Input into innovation plan to identify and deliver points of difference & innovation into the business.

Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Strong numeracy skills.

  • High degree of attention to detail and maintaining a sense of urgency and “can do approach”.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good presentation skills.

  • Computer literate and competent with modern IT systems including Microsoft Office.

  • Strong influencing and persuading skills.

  • Ability to balance multiple projects to required deadlines.

  • Ability to work in a team and build effective relationships internally and with customers.

  • Full driving licence. Be mobile with the ability to visit customer stores on a regular basis.

  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems.

  • Maintain a professional approach throughout.

The Package:
Salary: £22K – £26K

Additional Information:
Holidays : 20 + 8 bank holidays
