Farm Trader (experienced or trainee)

ADM Agriculture are recruiting for two Farm Traders, either established or trainees to expand our Farm Trading team in the South of England. Trainees will initially be based at our Head office at Hemswell, Lincolnshire for a minimum of one year to support their training and development. Thereafter, there may be a possibility of hybrid working (office/home).
Your Responsibilities
Responsible for purchasing combinable crops and selling quality seed and fertiliser products along with promoting ADM Agriculture’s quality technical services to farmers.
To manage and support existing accounts along with building relationships and procuring business with new accounts.
To purchase grain, oilseeds and pulses from farmer customers trading with existing accounts and developing new business.
To negotiate contracts with farmers within the terms and price range given by ADM Traders.
To sell seed and fertiliser products to both existing accounts and procuring new business.
Actively promote campaigns in liaison with the Retail department.
To follow up on business enquiries providing outstanding customer service.
To utilise company information and promote technical services to farmers.
To manage workload effectively to maximise account and business potential.
To become BASIS and FACTS qualified (within 2 years)
Your Profile
Being target driven and determined to grow a successful career in a competitive business.
To be dedicated to develop your knowledge of combinable crops, OSR, pulses and their uses/markets.
Following training – familiarity of the concept and desired outcome for farm trading business.
To gain understanding of AIC and FOSFA grain contracts.
Awareness of seed varieties and dressings.
Knowledge of fertiliser types and their uses.
Arable farming understanding.
Ability to build relationships and utilise strategic sales in maximizing farm trading ledger and business.
Experienced in the use of Microsoft IT software – Outlook, Word, Excel and utilising skills into using bespoke systems.
Demonstrates an excellent level of commercial awareness.
Ability to engage and influence others.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interact and build relationships effectively, both internally and externally.
