Location of the Job: South West & South Wales to cover: Wales, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Hampshire & surrounding areas.

The Company: Our client is a leading manufacturer or specialist heavy machinery.

The Industry: Agricultural Machinery, Farm Machinery, Construction Machinery, Forestry Machinery, Heavy Machinery.

The Job Role Details:
Due to the continued growth of this machinery business, they are now looking to strengthen the Service Team by recruiting for a Field Service Engineer.

As a Field Service Engineer you will play a key role behind the scenes, by supporting the service department through completing routine servicing work, maintaining, and repairing customer machinery onsite, whilst providing an excellent level of service to customers.

You will be required to travel to customer sites throughout the South West and the South of Wales.

Key Responsibilities:
You will:

  • Carry out the service, repairs, and maintenance of heavy machinery.

  • Work on a range of machinery including: Foragers, Forwarders and Harvesters.

  • Travel to meet with customers on site.

  • Provide an excellent level of customer service and after sales care and support.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be:

  • Good knowledge of engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.

  • Ability to use welding and cutting equipment.

  • Computer literate.

  • Forestry, Plant or Agriculture background preferred.

  • Willing to travel.

  • Hold a full UK driving licence.

Additional Information:

  • The basic working week is Monday – Friday, 8am - 4.30pm.

  • This role is based from home, working door to door, and paid door to door.

Salary Package: Paying a basic hourly rate of £16 - £17 per hour depending on experience.
