Fresh Produce Trader/Buyer
Reporting to: General Manager, Sales Manager, MD
Reporting to the job holder: Stock Controllers, Technical Manager, Drivers
The Company: Fantastic Fresh Produce Wholesaler based in the North West.
The Industry: Purchasing, Sales, Food, Fresh Produce, Agriculture
Purpose of the Job: To buy produce from approved supplier base and serve customers. Regulating your working day around the company needs.
Role Responsibilities:
Buying produce to customer specifications.
Sales of produce.
Profitability.
Support accounts office/credit control.
Support accreditation systems.
Buying produce to customer specifications
Buying produce from approved suppliers.
Agreeing prices with suppliers.
Supporting the administration of purchase ledger.
Supporting the administration for goods received notes.
Sales of produce
To maintain good customer relationships.
To support the administration with customer queries.
Meet the requirements of the customer specifications.
Increase sales.
Profitability
To communicate with sales team to maximise profit.
Review prices paid for produce.
Support office/credit control
Sales ledger accounts – advise of any change in customer circumstances.
Work together with credit control to maximise on time payments.
Support accreditation systems
Maintain and support all aspects of the accreditation.
Purchase of approved suppliers.
Help monitor customer complaints.
Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
Experience buying and selling fruit and vegetables.
Happy to be office-based with occasional travel.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Be computer literate.
A clean driving license.
Salary Package:
Competitive salary depending on experience.
