My clients are a national governing body for an Equestrian Sport.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as Head of Finance, based at their offices in Meriden, West Midlands.

The Job Role details:

As a central member of the senior management team, the Head of Finance manages all accounting and financial reporting to support the delivery of the organisation’s strategic and operational plans.

The role will include effective financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, as well as responsibility for all accounting functions, including the purchase, sales and nominal ledgers, tax, payroll, pension, gift aid, credit control, membership reconciliation and investments portfolio.

Aim of the role:

The Head of Finance provides timely and accurate financial information to the CEO and Board, while ensuring full compliance with all financial regulations and charitable obligations.

You will provide financial insight, analysis and evaluation that will aid management decision making, while identifying and managing key financial risks, and implementing controls to protect the organisation’s income streams, funds and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

My clients are looking for a dynamic, proactive and effective finance professional with strong analytical skills, who has a structured approach to work and excellent attention to detail.

Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:

MUST be highly organised, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.

MUST be an effective team player, you will be equally adept at working independently and be a highly motivated self-starter.

MUST have good communication skills, with the ability to build strong professional relationships.

MUST be CCAB qualified and have a proven track record in a similar senior position.

MUST have experience of managing a small team.

MUST have strong commercial acumen and awareness, with sound business judgement.

IDEALLY familiar with SAGE.

IDEALLY knowledge of charitable / not for profit accounting and statutory reporting.

IDEALLY from a sporting and / or equestrian background.

IDEALLY able to start February 2021.

5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays

Generous CPD allowance

Pension scheme

40hrs per week.

Salary package:

£49,000 - £60,000 depending upon experience
