Job Description – Heavy Diesel Mechanic
345 Equipment - George Town, Grand Cayman
345 Equipment, a construction and agricultural machinery, parts and service importation business is idyllically located in the British Overseas territory of the Cayman Islands and we are currently looking for a heavy diesel mechanic. You will be experienced in all aspects of the job description below and with the absolute ability to work alone, whilst also be willing to be part of a team delivering beyond the normal levels of service expected on a Caribbean Island.
You will be experienced with all things that makes an engine perform, up to Tier 4 and with the ability to use and understand the latest technologies and be capable in the use of scanners and computers.
You will also need to understand automatic and manual transmissions, hydraulics and electrical installations. Main brands on the island include SANY, for which we are the dealers and your principal involvement each day. CAT, JCB, Volvo and John Deere are also prevalent although both JCB and CAT are well serviced already through their own dealerships, but opportunities will arise.
We offer planned maintenance packages wherever possible, and you will need to be able to communicate fully and represent the business in the best possible light on a daily basis.
The person should be able to travel here without family as although the Cayman Islands offer a paradise in which to live and work then the opportunities for spouses to work are limited, unless they possess a profession. You are also unlikely to have any children as schooling here is expensive. Saying that, many people do come here to work and leave their families behind and then visit over the course of the year when possible.

Basic Salary: $62,000 USD Tax free.

1. In good health as there is an examination required for the work permit.
2. Clean home or country of residence police record.
