We are looking for a Herd Manager to be responsible for a herd of 200 dairy cows averaging 10,000 Litres, supplying milk to M&S. Cows are milked through a direct to line 20 /20 parlour with ADF. All cows bedded on sand cubicles and fed a TMR.
You will be leading a three man team, with particular attention to be paid to reduced antibiotic use and improved locomotion in the herd.
A three- bedroom semi detached house, 100m from the farm, is supplied with the job. Council Tax is paid, with 28 days holiday a year with 2.5 days off every other week, but we can be flexible on this.
We are located 6 miles from Junction 12 of the M4, 1 mile from nearest train station and 2.5 miles from nearest secondary school.
Salary; £37,000, with a review after 6 months.
