Horticultural & Grounds Maintenance Workshop Engineer

The Job Role Details:
We have a fantastic opportunity now available for a Workshop Engineer within the Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping sector. A qualified and experienced Workshop Fitter, Engineer or Mechanic is required for this onsite workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
You will:
Service, repair and maintain a variety of horticultural and grounds maintenance equipment, including but not limited to:
Hand-held petrol driven machinery i.e. strimmers, blowers, hedge cutters and chainsaws.
Pedestrian equipment rotor and pedestrian mowers.
Ride on mowers i.e. Toro (LT4240/LT3340) 5 unit and 3 unit.
Ride on flails (LT3000).
Iseki high lift collectors.
Tractor attachments.
Side arm flails.
Batwing flails.
Batwing rotary mowers.
Tractor trailed gang mowers (TM749).
Vehicle trailers.
Minor repairs to vehicle accessories, i.e. bulbs, wing mirrors.
Maintain computerised records, service history.
Order stock and maintain stock levels.
Load and unload deliveries to depot.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have:
Recent or previous experience working on horticultural, grounds maintenance or grass cutting equipment.
Experience operating workshop machinery i.e. abrasive wheels, cylinder grinders, hand-held and bench grinders, pressurised air receivers, welding operations and use of gas cylinders.
Manitou equipment operation - ideal but not essential.
IT literacy skills, able to operate computer systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Full clean driving licence with trailer towing category.
Additional Information:
This is a permanent full-time position.
Working times are split between 35 hour weeks and 45 hour weeks throughout busy seasons.
You may be required to understand mobile assistance to attend to machine breakdowns in Hertfordshire, Luton areas.
Emergency First Aid training can be arranged.
Extended working hours if required.
Salary Package: A basic salary of around £30,000 per annum depending on experience.
