Horticultural Workshop Fitter progressing to Foreman - South West / West Midlands

The Company: Our client is a highly successful & well-established Agricultural and Horticultural Machinery dealership that supply multiple machinery franchises.

The Industry: Farm Machinery, Agricultural Machinery, Horticultural Machinery, Groundcare Machinery, Grounds Maintenance Machinery, Tractors, Combines, Harvesters, Mowers.

The Job Role Details:
Working for a leading Agricultural and Horticultural Machinery dealership, there is now an exciting opportunity available for a Horticultural Workshop Fitter progressing to a Workshop Foreman to build and develop a team of Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
You will:

  • Organise all incoming work and jobs.

  • Repair agricultural and horticultural equipment.

  • PDI / carry out pre delivery inspections of new agricultural and horticultural equipment.

  • Carry out installations of agricultural and horticultural equipment including robotic mowers.

  • Develop a team to compliment the agricultural and horticultural workshop and parts department.

  • Use manufacturers systems to identify parts as and when requested.

  • Communicate with customers to achieve the customer's needs.

  • Work alongside engineers and members of staff with a positive attitude.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be:

  • Experience working within a field service engineer role.

  • Good knowledge of agricultural / horticultural / groundcare / construction / plant machinery in a recent role.

  • Experience managing teams of staff in a similar role is preferred - but is not essential.

  • Enthusiastic, hardworking and want to complete your work to the highest standards.

  • Driven and show determination, work tidy and perform well.

  • IT literate in order to confidentially produce reports on a weekly / monthly basis.

Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent full-time position.

  • Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4.30 pm.

  • Overtime will be required during busy / seasonal periods.

Salary Package: A basic annual salary in the range of £30,000 - £45,000 DOE.
