Horticultural Workshop Mechanic
Location of the Job: Cheshire, Congleton, Crewe, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Nantwich, Stoke-on-Trent, Derbyshire – and surrounding areas.
The Company: Our client is leading Ground Care Machinery, Horticultural Machinery and Sports Turf Management machinery distributor.
The Industry: Groundcare Machinery, Horticultural Machinery, Garden Machinery, Compact Tractors, 2-stroke machinery, 4-stroke machinery.
The Job Role details:
Due to the on-going success and demand, my client is now recruiting an experienced Workshop Mechanic who has experience working on a range of; diesel and petrol engines, hydraulics, fuel systems, welding, laptop diagnostics and schematics, as well as having the skills to organise and work as a key team member.
Ideal candidates will have experience working on; Compact tractors, grass cutting machinery, sports turf management machinery and more.
For the right candidate the position will lead to Workshop Manager within 2 years.
Key Responsibilities:
You will;
Be responsible for the diagnostics and repairs of tractors, farm machinery, forklift trucks and ground care machinery.
Be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them with maximum reliability and functionality.
Provide a professional service and deliver a high level of customer service.
Accurately complete all paperwork including daily time sheets and job cards.
Maintain a safe, organised, clean and tidy work area ensuring walkways are always clear.
Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
You will have / be;
Experience in diagnostics and repairs of tractors, farm machinery, forklift trucks and / or ground care machinery.
Ideally have experience working on; Compact tractors, grass cutting machinery, sports turf management machinery and more.
A full clean driving license and a trailer license.
Excellent interpersonal skills – cheerful with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
The ability to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Ambitious, keen and willing to learn.
Additional Information:
This is a permanent full time position.
Salary package:
A basic salary in the range of £30,000 - £35,000 per year depending on experience.
Plus Benefits: Overtime, manufacturer training, company pension scheme - full support, training and career development provided.
