​IT Test Analyst - Chippenham

The Role:

The IT Test Analyst is responsible for testing software, both in-house developed and COTS products and ensuring that changes made to systems meet requirements and are fit for purpose. The IT Test Analyst will produce test scenarios, run the tests either manual or automated and report any defects. Working closely with the Software Development team, Business Analysts, IT Project Managers and Business testers, the IT Test Analyst will ensure that defects are identified and resolved as early as possible in the Software Development Lifecycle.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal

• Ability to work well, both as part of a team and using own initiative

• An excellent level of IT competence and knowledge of Microsoft products

• Ability to learn new skills in order to gain detailed knowledge of NMR software products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpreting requirements and then create and maintain test plans, test cases and test scripts in line with the IT Testing Process

• Undertake manual and automated testing using an appropriate defined tool

• Co-ordinate and support UAT sessions

• Report and manage defects using an appropriate defined tool

• Continuously improve the QA process

• Liaise with project team members and business representatives

• Suggest updates and improvements to software solutions
